welcome to our
Women's Welfare Centre
In the heart of Bahawalpur, Pakistan, stands a beacon of hope and empowerment for women from remote and impoverished communities - the Women's Welfare Centre. Founded with a vision to uplift and support marginalized women, particularly young widows and orphan girls, this center has become a sanctuary for those seeking to break free from the shackles of poverty and societal constraints. With a comprehensive approach to skill-building and education, the center offers a range of specialized courses tailored to meet the diverse needs of its students.

Mission
At the core of the Women's Welfare Centre are its three pillars of empowerment: the sewing school, the beauty school, and the creative Arabic school. These institutions provide 6-12 month training courses aimed at equipping women with valuable skills in areas that offer both economic opportunities and avenues for self-expression. Whether it's mastering the art of tailoring, honing beauty techniques, or delving into the intricacies of the Arabic language, each course empowers women to carve out their paths to success and independence.
Currently, the center boasts a vibrant community of approximately 100 students, spanning ages from 13 to 60. Beyond just imparting skills, the Women's Welfare Centre serves as a hub for fostering solidarity, camaraderie, and mutual support among its members. By providing a nurturing environment where women can learn, grow, and thrive, the center is not only transforming individual lives but also catalyzing positive change within the broader community. With each stitch sewn, each makeup brush wielded, and each Arabic script mastered, these women are reclaiming their agency, rewriting their narratives, and charting a course towards a brighter, more empowered future.
