Creative Arabic School
At the heart of the Women's Welfare Centre in Bahawalpur lies the Creative Arabic School, a sanctuary where the beauty of language intertwines with spiritual enlightenment. Offering a flexible 6-12 month course, this school provides a holistic education that transcends mere linguistic proficiency, delving deep into the spiritual and creative dimensions of the Arabic language.
Term 1
The journey begins with a foundational understanding of salah (prayer) and the sacred text of the Qur'an. Students are guided through the intricacies of Qur'anic recitation, learning the proper pronunciation and intonation through the art of tajweed. Alongside, they explore the profound meanings and explanations of the holy book, enriching their understanding of Islamic teachings and principles.
Term 2
As students progress through the course, they embark on the transformative journey of memorizing ayats and surahs of the Qur'an. This process not only deepens their spiritual connection but also instills in them a sense of discipline and dedication. With each verse committed to memory, students unlock new layers of understanding and insight, paving the way for spiritual growth and enlightenment.
Term 3
The creative aspect of the course offers a unique opportunity for self-expression and artistic exploration. Here, students are encouraged to tap into their creative potential by selecting their favorite ayats and verses and translating them into tangible works of art. Through appliqué and embroidery techniques, they breathe life into the written word, creating stunning wall hangings that serve as expressions of faith and devotion.
Community Work
In addition to nurturing their creative talents, the Creative Arabic School also fosters a sense of community and solidarity among its students. Regular spiritual gatherings, held in collaboration with the wider community, provide a platform for students to share their knowledge and talents while fostering bonds of compassion and empathy.
